The 2008 World Championships for 7-year-old horses is on its way to becoming a story of two women: that of Malin Larsson, who dethroned Ruth Edge after the cross country test, but also that of Pippa Funnell, who is lying in ambush and may well win the competition.

The cross country test at the World Championships for young 6-year-old horses has not drastically changed the top end of the ranking.
